I really hate to throw extra fuel on this fire, but I do remember reading this article and watching the videos a few months back:

They spoke the truth, the one to two upshift in the Ram has a real delay between gears and causes it to lag behind just a bit. I've noticed this in the R/T already...

It was a 2009 shootout. Those were completely loaded (as far as options go) four wheel drive quad cabs.

Again though, a larger profit is brought home, rather than 100% abroad and you're okay with this?
You mention how Chrysler made a larger profit by hiring low cost Mexican help, then why did you buy a Dodge if you seem so partial to Toyota and it's production values?
I rather have jobs in America and have taxes paid in America and have things built right, in America. The issue is the big 3 started building shit autos and the Japanese capitalized. The big 3 have been mismanaged for decades. If I have the choice I support American companies, but not at the price of inferior goods.

Do we assume they are equipped with the top of line engine choice? What about gearing and auto v. manual?

Wikipedia is wrong. Single cab 1500s are still assembled in Mexico.

Yes sir, the big poppa engine choice with automatic transmissions. Gearing was dependent on each manufacturer's top of the line package provided for the testing.

I think it would help clear things up for everyone if someone could post the links or pdfs of where all this info is coming from.

not sure why my post popped up after so many. sorry for the delayed request.
