Default Injector Problem!

ok my 5.9 Cummins has left me stranded! got it to my diesel guy who said the computer said it was the cam sensor. Sensor replaced no change. The truck is loading up on fuel and the diesel guy says that one of the injectors is dumping to much fuel and not letting the fuel rail pressure build up. The diesel guy says he needs to MAKE some kind of plug to plug up one injector at a time to determine the one that is staying open. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO GET A PLUG or WHATEVER I need to do this? PLEASE HELP I NEED MY TRUCK BACK ON THE ROAD.....

This guy....is he a Dodge Certified Tech (not knocking him, just asking)? The reason I ask is because he has advised you once about a component and it didn't appear to be your problem. Let's start from the top, are you throwing codes? Tell us exactly what the truck is doing, when is it doing it and how often?

Never heard of any such plug. I'm guessing he can't get his hands on the correct tool to flow test the fuel system so he's gonna try to rig up something.

ok so here is what my truck is doing. IF it will start white smoke POURS out the tailpipe along with fuel. Then IF it will idle at all as soon as you touch the gas pedal it cuts out. My diesel guy said the only code was for the cam sensor. That has been replaced. To me I think that one of the injectors is dumping to much fuel out and flooding out the engine. He wants to TRY and plug off one injector at a time to determine the bad one. ANY IDEAS GUYS?

I'm no diesel guy , but I don't think one bad injector could flood out the engine .

im no diesel kid either, but white smoke is oil being burned or you have a head gasket blown, check your head gaskets and look for any leaks
