I'm a geek but have to admit once I click on the link in my Bookmarks, I just wait for the forum to load and don't look at the address bar.

It looks good though.

Well I had sent a pm to the owner, not sure if they got it or not. Can any of the staff help get this done by contacting the correct person?

well ok then. Guess improvements to set the site apart are not looked at as important. I really dont see why it is shot down when it is literally 30 seconds - I made the image and everything and most everyone thought it was a good idea.

I honestly was just trying to give back to the new community that I found.

That is an incorrect statement and not a very welcomed one at that.

This site has gone through several evolutions and will continue to evolve.

The management of the Z appreciates the offer you made.

However, your statement leads one to believe that someone slapped you in the face for having the audacity to suggest such a change and that simply isn't the case.

Giving back to the site is a great thing to do.

Getting all ticked off and pissy with the members and management when the offer isn't accepted for reasons that pre-date your membership here is not a great thing to do.

I respect your opinion but disagree. Being a forum owner myself, if I had a new member, that jumped in and started posting and trying to learn and also posted a simple yet pleasing offer that enhanced the forum - no matter how little - I would take the offer just to show the new member that we really do want to stand out that we will take any help that we can get. It is not like it was a major - hey I have an idea, let rearrange the entire forum, lets put this section in and remove that section, lets combine these two bla bla bla and while we are at it lets put in the post thanks hack, the reward system and the garage addon and so on. It was a simple, elegant way that I could help.

Also I would not hold it against anyone for speaking their mind - what I said was not done in a rude manner nor was hurtful to the site or anyone else. I simply stated my opinion of how it appears and it comes across on the other side to member. I welcome all comments good or bad as long as they are constructive. I can now see the stance of the sites leadership and what will be accepted and wont be as well.

good golly, it is the internets - please delete the thread so that no one else gets upset.

I would have even been willing to make a unique favorite icon for each site with in the Z network.

Good...we can agree to disagree.

I partially attribute the responses here as interpreting what people mean when they type something on a medium where it's difficult to determine whether or not it's an emotional issue for the poster. It certainly wasn't an emotional issue for me. I simply viewed it within the context of site configuration and in the overall management of a large network.

A simple offer? Yes. A pleasing one? How the responses to the offer are viewed by other members? Depends on your perspective.

Thanks for the offer.

I think you hit the nail on the head on both sides. And you are correct - it is the difference between a community and a business network.
