Default Going from a lift to lowering.....

Has anyone gone from a leveled out front end on a 2wd to lowering it 2-4? If so, wondering if there were any issues or problem areas (ball joints, tie-rod ends, etc...) to keep an eye out for. I've had the lift on for about 4 years and don't want to run into any issues by lowering it to make it more streetable.

The only prob I see is possibly wheel offset....going from big truck to slick truck means tucking wheels under, and I bet the XDs are outside the fenders a hair.
Outside that, the issue would be wear on the items you mentioned, but if in good shape, no issues.

The wheels I have still stay within the wheel well, but my current plan is to swap my wheels for a set of the 05-08 20s. I figure that would take away any of the issues.

you should be good then, only worn parts will be an issue and I wouldnt think you'll find any.
