First off... Killer friggin install I didnt even think about using the dash location for my tweets ( I cut the door )

Anywho how did you over come the excessive high end when using the stock radio? I've been trying to tune mine for 2 months now but i just can't bring them down enough... Im about to just switch out the HU but I like the MyGig so much

Actually, that topic was tackled this morning.

We got rid of the tweets! Seriously. Ended up crossing the pair of Dayton RS100 at 6,000Hz and then added a Vifa TG9 full range in the center channel with a cap on it to play 6,000Hz and up. This helped tremendously! It can still be a bit bright at times, but playing with the EQ has almost fixed that. Had to boost the mid about 6 bars and dropped the treble one.

Man you are as industrious as a herd of beavers. I would have probably given up on the tweeter set ups.

Got some work done today, 5 1/4" mids installed in the doors, the Daytons ands TG9 are sealed up in their spots in the dash.

I also sealed up the door "pods" so as to prevent water from getting to the mids, and also a smaller enclosure can help boost the midrange:

An additional ring to help mount the mid:

And lots of weatherstripping to help seal any gaps, and to prevent door panel vibrations:

Dayton RS100 with 0.10mH Inductor attached, these replaced each corner dash speaker. I used velcro tape on the inductors so they can be changed out later on if I want to try cutting at different frequencies:

Vifa TG9 replaced the center channel, added a 4.7uF capacitor, again with velcro tape to allow swapping out if need be:
