Yeah man, good idea. Might be a week or so, busy week coming up. I was served a subpoena and have to give testimony at a murder trial starting tomorrow. Not the best way to start the week.

Okay, had nothing better to do tonight.

Here's my greasy transfer case:

and another:

The linkage:

And finally the mount:

Not sure if these pics help. Difficult to get good images in such a tight place. Let me know if others would help.

Default vacume to front axel

I have a 96, with the same problem. A while back, there was a fix posted, I have been looking for it and cant find it. It showed how to run a cable into cab where u could plull it to lock it in. also there was one that someone used a electric fuel pump to make it work. I would like to find these posts to fix mine also. I think one of them might have been in the jeep forum ill keep looking.

OK, here's a blast from the past, On my 'ol 82 Chev, the range selector used to pop into neutral constantly from low range. After much screwing around, and not going after what became, later, the obvious, the rubber bootie around the shift lever had hardened up just enough to apply the required pressure to pop the t case into neutral given the appropriate conditions. I don't know how many Lbs of gear teeth I chewed off the gears in there, and off the park pin, first reaching for the 4x4 selector and trying to rip it into gear, then trying to put the auto shifter into park... I guess thats why my forehead is almost concave... (from slapping it with the palm of my hand) Always remember, shut the engine off!!!!!!!!
