Default Power Wagon

I called my dealer to see if they had anything with the Rambox so I could see what it looked like. They did and I was not to impressed, so that's definitely off my list of things if/when I order a new Ram.

Anyway, while there I saw a Powerwagon in Inferno Red with black lower and flares. I fell in lust. But its not the truck for me, I don't need a 2500 and 411 gears.

The Rambox seems to be a love it or hate it option. I haven't found anyone yet that's middle of the road with it. I think it boils down to what you intend to do with the truck more than anything. People who aren't going to do a lot of hauling seem to find it handy for storing a receiver hitch, straps, cleaning supplies and that sort of thing. You never know what you'll find in the back of my truck on any given day, so a standard bed works best for me.

Day to day I use it for all the stuff Randy mentioned plus it'll hold a lot of drinks for tailgating. The drain plugs make for easy clean up but I can see how it isn't an option for everyone. It just fits the mold for me.

I didn't like how the openings messed up the lines of the sheetmetal but I can certainly see how it would be very handy if you need some external storage you are in and out of a lot.

Yeah, it would certainly beat climbing in and out of the bed to have full access to a tratitional bed box.

It seemed to me the issue with the box is it's pretty shallow. It does not use all the available space top to bottom. I could be wrong.

Yup...been there, done that myself.

I did get a full length set of step bars for another truck I had which helped a lot and may bend up looking for a set for the RAM as I do plan on putting a box in the back.

it seems like the width of the cargo bed seems narrower that the ones without the rambox, havent seen one in person but thats what it looks like to me on pics.

thats because you don't see the wheel wells anymore, you probably loose a little bit of space but not overly much
