Default NEW Alpine 6x9's installed but need a spacer!

I just bout a pair of Alpine 6x9's E-series 2-way speakers for the front doors in my '06 Hemi qc. Has anyone heard these b4 or have them themselves?? Interested in how they sound after they are installed properly. I have the original spacer from stock speakers and the speakers still won't seat in the factory cutout very well. I am going to have to put a bigger spacer in there. If you know someone with these please respond, anxious to know how these sound. I do love the highs though, very crisp and clear. Also they are hooked up to a Kenwood deck, no amp right now. If I add the amp is that going to make these sound alot better??? I am just looking to get a littler more bass from these. Thanks

Yes, an amp will help.

Check Crutchfield's website. They may have just what you need.

hmm my type r 6x9s came with a small spacer/mounting bracket and the fit perfectly in the door. Now when it came to the 6.5's in the back i had to drill another hole and im only runnin 2 out of 3 screws lol but they are tight and sound good without the amp... u could always phone crutchfield and ask for the bracket.
