Yes it's a good product and my last complete oil change Blackstone report came back that the oil was still in good shape after 20K. I change the filter every 5K and added Lucas oil treatment at the 15K mark.

I'm using Amsoil 5W40 do to it's extended drain intervals when used with there filter. Note: NO dyno additives can be used with any 100% Syn oils!

COMPATIBILITY
AMSOIL Synthetic 5W-40 Diesel Oil is compatible with conventional and synthetic motor oils. Mixing AMSOIL motor oils with other oils, however, will shorten the oil life expectancy and reduce the performance benefits. AMSOIL does not support extended drain intervals where oils have been mixed. Aftermarket oil additives are not recommended for
use with AMSOIL motor oils.

Diesel Engine Service
  • Three times (3X) OEM* recommendation, not to exceed 50,000 miles/600 hours or one year, whichever comes first. Drain intervals may be extended further with oil analysis.
  • 2007-2009 Caterpillar C13, C15 on-highway engines must follow OEM drain interval.
  • 2007-2010 Dodge 6.7L, Ford 6.4L, GM 6.6L LMM light duty diesel pickups must follow OEM drain interval. Drain intervals can be extended further with oil analysis.
With the average cost of $100 per oil change this is a very good thing IMO.
