Default Pos Traction.

Here the deal.... I have a 08 lonestar edition. But I still have the one wheel peel. This truck is going to be a svt killer in the future. Does anyone know of a company that sales the posttive rear end. One of my buddys said if I could find a wrecked big horn that I could swap the rear ends out in them. Is that true. Anyway thanks again. Later on Chase

Plenty of companies offer limited slip diffs and lockers. Yes, you can do a swap if you so choose.

The axle swap is pretty easy but installing a posi or locker should be professionally done.

You didn't say if you planned a gear swap or not. If you are, a set a 4.10s and an Eaton Truetrac would be my choice.

go to a junkyard and get one. If my measurements are correct, backing plate to backing plate, the Corporate 9.25s in both the 2nd gen and 3rd gen rams are exactly the same, minus the way the leaf springs mount, which is much cheaper and easier to change then a gear set and limited slip unit.

And, most likely, any 9.25 rear in the junkyard will be good since they are pretty strong differentials. Just look around in a pick'n'pull till you find a posi rear end (usually around $75). May not be the exact gears your looking for, but, just replacing the gearset is cheaper then buying a posi unit as well.
