Default Headlights

I just looked and on my truck I have the low beam on top with high beam underneath then the fogs on bottom. Want to replace with PIAA's as I have on my last few trucks but need to know exact sizes I should buy. I searched and read a few threads and even looked at the piaa application guide but still confused.

Could someone please tell me the exact bulbs I need for each? Thanks

Also is there a big difference between upgrading the bulbs and true HID's? From what I have read the HID's seem to be alot of trouble vs just replacing the bulbs.

If you have $200.00 to spend I would say go with the HID. They put out so much more light over a bulb replacement. There are kits out here that a lot of people have had issues with not working properly. The kit you will want to look into getting is sold by one of the vendors here.

Thanks, $200 is about what the piaa's would cost for all 3 sets($65 each set from what I have seen). How much would it cost to have this kit properly installed by professionals?

Or are the instructions that detailed to where I could attempt to install them?

Anyone could install this kit. Its plug & play. install new bulb, connect ballast between the bulb & OEM Connector & you are done.

For me, HID's have been a PITA...I haven't given up, though.

Installing a HID kit is not hard. It's getting them to work with the truck's CanBUS system that has been problematic.

Bulb info for your truck:

Low beam - H11

High beam - 9005

Fog light - 9145

Also, the 9145's are sometimes called H10's. Look at the Recon replacement bulbs, they are very nice too and cheaper in price that the PIAA's. I replaced all mine for about $110 including shipping and it made a huge diff in night driving.. my 2 cents.

Bought these, will post before and after pics once installed. When they get the HID kits perfected I will put these back on ebay and upgrade. Sent seller a message that I need matching highs and fogs so hopefully I can do all at the same time.

Hopefully the blue tint will look pretty cool on my blue truck.

Just found these, feel like I should have looked a little harder before jumping the gun on the PIAA's. I might order these three and just put my PIAA's in classifieds so I can have all 3 matching.

What do you guys think I should do?
