Default New Bully Dog

Received the BD GT today at first glance I couldnt believe how small it was but hey I got 30 days with it so lets see what it can do.

Downloaded updates from the website no problem, loaded tune into my truck took about 20 min but no chimes and flashing lights like my Cortex so we are set with the mid level tune. Take her for a spin doesn't feel much diff. then stock, no chirping tires , no better shifts feels no differant...OK what am I missing?

Reload to the performance tune, feels a little better but no wow factor. Im going to tinker thru the night with it also going to try reloading from the website maybe it needs to see my vin for a diff canned tune.
I am having trouble with the coach feature it wont set up, and the 0-60 time doesnt seem to work , fog lights on with hi beams is not there and not being able to disable MDS is a big miss on my part.

Not throwing in the towel just sharing some observations.

More to come.

damn disabling the MDS is a MUST and disabling the TM (torque management) is a MUSTTT does anyone know of a programmer that does both

Bummer!

I can turn off MDS and ESP in my car with the Predator (U-7135) but I am not sure if you can do that with the truck Predator (U-7137).

You can turn off the MDS but not the ESP. You have to get it tuned to go into the TMS.

I'm on the fence about keeping this thing, going on a long ride today so I'll be able to put it thru it's paces. If it doesn't perform I'm returning it for a Cortex.

The MDS option is important, especially with exhaust mods...

Go with SuperChips. You can disable MDS Im pretty sure and if you pay $40 more, you can have trans tuning option which will let you change your torque management settings and your shift points (up and down).

my question is, out of curiousity, what steered you to get the bullydog? I want to know if end users go by opinions of other users or buy into the marketing hype like flashy ad's with bogus hp/tq numbers.
