Default Towing mirrors

this really has nothing to do with mechanical problems...well i guess it could. but anyways sorry for wasting the space but i was wondering about something. I found a lot of sets of the towing mirrors that are on the 2500 and 3500's on ebay. the exact same thing (same dimensions and flip out and such) for like 50 bucks for 2. the thing that i am curious about is that i am having a hard time finding ones that fit a 98. they are all from 2002 and up. my ? is....is there really that much of a difference between the 02 and the 98's as far as bolt holes go for the mirrors? Is it possible that if i get them that they would fit on my 98 1500? reason that i want them is cause i have tow the gooseneck around and have a hard time seeing with the stock mirrors. again..sorry for wasting the space..didn't really know where a post like this would fit lol

There is a difference, You need the ones for '94-'02 (2500/3500). These are the years that should fit your '98 1500.

Yep, just make sure you get a powered mirror or a manual depending on what you have now.

Yes you can, however you (may) get a dash light just from the fault.

power mirrors are going to be more expensive, i bought mine from discountautomirrors.com. also you need to buy a reinforcement plate from a dodge dealer. they should be around $40 for the set and you DO need them, i tried going without them and the mirrors are way too heavy they shake and rattle around even at idle, the plate fixes that.
