Default My first post but i have a question also

Hey! im from MA and looking for a new truck.
Ive been driving my 93 jeep cherokee for awhile now and i love the reliability of the straight six 4.0! im looking at a 96 dodge indy ram edition truck with only 11k miles! thats brand new in my book and it was bought in florida and driven down here to MA and garaged everyday and night of its life.

This thing is basically spotless and i wanted to know if you guys thought 10k was a fair price for it?

Thanks in advance for your help and opinions
(and also let me know if theres problems with these trucks i should check out before i buy the truck)

Welcome to the site!
11000 Miles?!? If thats correct that is really low. That is a special edition truck and only so many made. But not sure it's worth 10K.

Special editions are hard to price. Generally, it's all about the mileage and general condition of the vehicle. 11K miles is really low!

Any price should be negotiable. If you have the ability, do an inspection of the vehicle. And you can run a CarFax to check its history.

Private party value for that particular truck will be in the $4k-5k range. Still, I'd make an offer and try haggling for a better price if you really want the truck.

Default Might buy an indy ram, need your opinions!!

I know a guy selling a clean indy ram for $10,000. it has 11k miles and tow package (which i guess means more cooling radiators for the tranny and such??) this thing was bought in Florida and driven up here to MA. its been garaged its whole life and hasnt even seen rain in years.

what do you guys think? good deal? is there some things i should look for that are common problems with these trucks?

Last thing...he said the tranny whines a little in reverse because it sits for a long time in between drives. it goes away after a few back ups but is that something i should be worried about!?

TIA and i already love the site you guys have here!

Sorry about the double post! i didnt know where the first one went haha.

So anyways, you guys feel $10 grand is too high?

yes 11k miles is correct, this thing is really mint and kept very clean. maybe i can try a little lower price but i dont really feel like he would budge too much on the price.

A one in less than 3000 made Indy with only 11000 miles not worth $10000?

I guess that I would be fortunate to get $500 for mine with 133000 miles.

How many decades does one have to wait before vehicles start to appreciate?

Have the warlocks and Lil Red Express trucks began to appreciate yet?

My "72 Roadrunner started to appreciate maybe in the nineties whereas my '77 BMW 630CSi is worth next to nothing.
