Default Exhaust opinions.....

Hey guys, newb here. Just bought a 2010 Hemi 1500 Brilliant Black and I friggin love it. Just a few questions for you guys.

1. I ordered a 14" magnaflow, but I'm wondering if I should cancel that order and put a cat back or better exhaust system on, since I'm also going with a CAI soon...? I want her to BARK!!! Also want to be able to maintain the neighbours' respect as I live in a nice subdivision.

2. Which CAI is best? I believe I have easy access to all brand names through a local customs shop (Ripit customs) that sponsors me in my pro fighting career.

Welcome TimHague. Do a search. Everybody will have their own opinion as to which CAI they prefer.
If you already have the duals on your truck, I personally would just put the muffler on. That's just my 2 cents.

I agree...the factory pipes aren't bad so you can go with a muffler replacement and gain almost the same benefit. Check for resonators at the end of your tailpipes. If you have them you might consider removing them but be warned...you may experience some exhaust system drone.

Best CAI? I prefer the closed box systems that tie into the factory box cold air inlet on the inner fender. Volant and AFE make some nice ones in that configuration.

Just my .02

with the removing of the resonators...

will the truck sound a bit better, will it allow for more airflow?

My guess would be if your a pro fighter you can do any damn thing you want too

I used an 18"Magnaflow and like the sound. Sounds good and not to loud for the neighborhood.

Are there any issues with muffler/exhaust changes that will hurt the performance? I'm also looking for a possible upgrade to bring a bit more "sound" to my truck, but not at the expense of performance (gas mileage included).

I'm not real wise with all the terms you guys are using, so please dumb it down for us new guys until we pick up on the terms and lingo. Thanks in advance!

I'm looking for suggestions, so fire away!

Well the DODM80 did not affect my performance in a neg way
The intake and exhaust both gave me more power at higher RPM
Can't really notice a whole lot in lower RPM
