they may last longer but they don't flow as well. I've run both flows and magnaflow..I dropped my 1/4 mile times as well as increase mph at the track by doing just the muffler swap.. plus, the difference in drone/noise in cab is like night an day, I just couldn't take it and was embarrassed that I had to raise my voice just to have a convo..

I have an 07 and my 0-60 times were much better. I didn't take a picture of the last one but I ran a 6.54 sec. Here is the pic of the 6.96 I ran with the Diablo 93 Octane tune and Volant CAI, and Flo 44 exhaust. When I ran the 6.54 I added a Airaid Jr elbow to the Volant to get rid of the resignator and go to the throttle body. I am still waiting for the Ram Air Tube for the Volant and hope to get my time under 6.50 and closer to 6 of course. For a big Quad this truck hauls ass.

are you rc or qc? you'll need to do some engine mods (cam/heads) or spray or fi to get there..

i noticed that you mentioned in your reply to stay away from flowmaster mufflers. why is that? i always herd good things about them. what other muffler would you put on a ram 5.7 hemi?

in short, imo, for our trucks (especially 5.7's)...flowmasters are too constricting (may work better for cars or other brands). No one I know runs a flowmaster on a really fast hemi truck. They sound cool at idle and and part throttle...but under heavy load they just don't sound right (or perform either). I ran the fastest 1/4 with a flow 50 in my qc (of any na qc, stock block at the time, flow equipped)...however, by switching to magnaflow alone, my times dropped even further...so I'm thinking our trucks benefit from a straight through design. Loud doesn't equate to quicker...seems like everyone in my town runs a flow (sound is pretty loud and distinct) and my truck almost sounds like stock in comparison....but I'll always know that I'm much quicker and faster then they are (believe me, they all seem to want to challenge me at lights and the results are always the same)
