Default Engine sound at 1500km

Today while driving the first 10 minutes my 5.7L hemi was idling like normal but under acceleration heavy and light my engine sounded like a fully loaded semi powering up a hill. It was only after reaching highway speed did it go away and begin to sound normal. My new truck only has 1500km on it. Has anyone else experienced this? There were no warning lights on the dash. I'm stumped. It doesn't sound good but I will have another go later once the truck cools off to see if it was a one time thing or every time.
