Question windows roll down mysteriously!

I am at my wit's end.... I have owned my truck for about a year now, and it has developed a ghostly problem - the windows roll down when noone is around!

It started about 2 weeks ago. My wife beats me out the door first thing in the morning, then comes back in and asks me if I left the front windows down and the doors unlocked. Next, about a week ago, I walk out in the morning to find the front windows cracked open about an inch, but the doors are still locked.

I swear I did not leave them open as I RARELY roll them down at all. My kids insist they have no idea how it happened. It is making me crazy, but I am reluctant to tell my service advisor for fear of looking foolish.

Any ideas?

Don't worry, it's completely normal. I'm trying to find the thread that explains it, but it has something to do with holding the lock/unlock button down for a few seconds.

Maybe, I should just read the owner's manual. LOL

I may have been "pocket rolling" my windows!

I am sure it is rolling down due to you carrying your keys in your pants pocket. You press the unlock button 2 times on the 2nd time it will lower the window until you let go of that button. No different than when I am sitting in the living room and suddenly see lights in my back yard appear at night. Go outside and either truck or car is running, depending on which keys are in my pocket. Somehow remote start button gets hit 2 times in a few seconds. No big deal your truck is not possessed.

Holy Canoli!

I had no idea this behavior existed. I need to figure out how to turn it off. Maybe the EVIC has something.

Thanks to you I will become a supporting member of the site.

What's been stated is this threads is correct, there is a feature where if you unlock the truck and press the unlock a second time the front windows for driver & passenger will lower untill you release the button. However the truck will remain unlocked uless you pressed the lock button again. Thats alot to be happening accidentally in your pocket. Also, to get the windows all the way down you need to hold the button down. I would have the dealer check for something faulty, it just seems unlikely that you could do this accidentaly. Just my 2 cents.

I work at a dealership. The easiest way to find a car is to hit the alarm button on the remote and listen for the chirp. On more than one occasion we have hit the button and more than one car beeps. Does anyone in your neighborhood have a similar truck?

I accidently left the drivers side window down in a rain storm. The control on the arm rest shorted out and the window switch started acting strange. By the time I got to the dealer it had dried out and has never bothered again.
