Default Need to change trailer tow mirrors on my 2010 1500

I bought a 2010 4X4, 1500 SLT Big Horn Edition about 3 months ago and it has the trailer tow mirrors. The are a major PITA because they stick out so far. Getting the truck in the garage is always a chore. Does anyone know if there are sport mirrors (smaller) that are power adjustable, heated, have the turn signal and the walk-up (puddle) lights? I would really love to take these trailer tow mirrors off and trade with someone who needs them. Thanks

Well first, welcome to the forum, since I see you're new here! Unfortunately, I don't have an answer to your question, but someone should be along shortly who does, so good luck with that! When you get a chance, you should stop by the Newbie Checkin, introduce yourself to everyone and get your official Ram Z welcome!

Welcome to the forum.

I've seen sport mirrors with those features (except maybe the puddle lights) available for the Ram. Truckgear.com, autoanything.com, etc...are all good sites to check out.

But I'd check with the dealer first. I bet they have just what you are looking for.

Good luck finding what you need.

I just bought the 2010 1500 w/ sport power adjustable/heated mirrors. No lighting on them but ............Are your mirrrors the flip out style? I would love to trade also. Going camping, I'll check in later to talk some more.
Thanks. Fred.

Welcome to the Z. We LOVE pics of Rams.

The mirrors you're looking for a stock mirrors for the Ram with the exception of the lighting, so just go to the dealer and ask the parts folks to get you what you need.

The tow mirrors are an option.

Damn I would trade you in a hot second but mine are just Power and Heated, no lights or turn signals but I'm sure they can be modded for that.

I am willing to trade with someone who needs the trailer tow mirrors. From what I am gathering, I am not going to find a stock mirror that has the turn signal and puddle lights in them. So long as I can put on some smaller mirrors, with power and heat, and they will plug and play, I will be happy. I need to take the existing mirrors off right now to see if it is a single wiring harness or seperate for the power/heat and lights. If anyone has some stock sport mirrors with power/heat, let's talk.

Fred,

Yes, mine are the flip out style. Don't really have a need for these big things since I don't tow anything.

My 09 had the stock mirrors with the lights like you want. Talk to your dealer.

The Laramie mirrors are Power, folding and have turn signal and lights on them. Dont know if they fit the same as the sports mirrors do... you may want to check with your local dealer service. If your current lights have the lights etc... and the Laramie ones fit, then you are golden... if yoru current ones dont have lights... you will need to get some wiring done too.
