Default 99 1500 turns right but not left

got a 99 1500 4x4 with skyjacker 8" lift. few years ago i had the truck with no problems and sold it. well i recently bought the truck back and now it has steering problems. the guy said it will turn right but not left. said he put a reman steering box on it and still no luck. any ideas on what it might be? possibly a junk reman box, but not sure, he doesnt have that box anymore.

that's odd. Have you checked all the front end components over real well? Gotta be in the steering column

My 1999 1500 has had the same issue for a awhile now. It is stock with no lift kit or modifications. It steers easily to the right but steering is very stiff to the left, but only at idle. Once the RPMs are up a little, it will steer right and left with ease. I've jacked it up and looked and don't see any issues. When there is no weight on the front it will steer both ways easily at idle. I've flushed the system without making any difference. Haven't replaced any parts yet, as I was hoping to find some answers before I threw any money at it. Any ideas?
