Beats me but you can check to see if the ratio is on a tag that should be bolted to the diff cover.

Check for a tag on the rear diff. It will have the gear ratio on it.

Or, check for a sticker on the underside of the hood. That's where I found the info on my '99 4X4. They were 3.55's.

Here is the manual method.

1. Jack up the rear of the truck. Put the rear axle on jack stands.
2. Block the front tires
3. Mark the drive shaft and axle housing the same to determine when the drive shaft makes 1 complete revolution.
4. Put the transmission in neutral.
5. Have someone rotate a rear tire slowly while you count the rotations of the drive shaft.
6. Count the rotations of the drive shaft in 1 complete turn of the tire.

The number of times your drive shaft rotated is the gear ratio. For instance if your drive shaft rotated 3.5 times, then you have a 3.55:1 gear ratio.

My '99 sport QC 5.9 4x has 3.92s & limited slip. It may have a tow pkg to get 3.92s. It has a Reese hitch & 7 pin connector. The most common ratio is 3.55 thou.

or you can pull the diff cover off and count the teeth on both the ring and pinion gears and divide them, for EXAMPLE if your ring gear has 32 teeth and your pinion has 9 teeth you have a 3.55 ratio
