Default Valve train noise when starting, 5.7 Hemi

My truck has only 2500 miles on it and three times now when starting the valve train sounded starved for oil for a few seconds. This happened when it was cold and one time when it was warm. Is this a Hemi problem? Does it need an oil filter with a anti drain back valve? Hate to think it has an oiling problem.

Some HEMI's tick at first on start up. If it continues after you have started the truck and is continuous, get thee to a dealer.

My 09 did it, but my 10 doesn't.

Do you use 87 or 89?

Mine made a nose 3 times after starting it, mainly with the auto start because I was outside of the truck to hear it, but I couldnt really describe it. I use 89 and dont recall the OAT= Outside Air Temp. Its not the Hemi tick and it only lasted 2 seconds or so.

Mine just made the sound "looking for oil" sound the other day...Valves rattled at a fast pace for maybe 2 seconds at startup then quieted back down. Interesting that more have this issue too....Might be inherent to the truck. I was thinking about taking mine back to the dealer too
