Default Key Fob not unlocking, and random door locking

I have been having issues with the key fob not working on my 09. Posted about it a while ago, just cant find the post. Recently my truck started locking itself randomly. I brought the truck in to have them check in 6 weeks ago and they could not duplicate it, scheduled my oil change last week, had the service tech walk out to the truck with me in case it did it, and the truck did, so they dug into it. There was nothing they could find wrong with the truck, so the tech began looking at the bulletins. He found one about random locking for another dodge vehicle and did that fix. The unlock feature works like a champ now, and the truck doesnt lock itself randomly, however now I have issues with getting the truck to lock sometimes.

yep same problem , I don't think they have a real fix for this issue . My service manager has an o9 as well with the same problem . Just have to sit on it until ,,,,, they figure it out.

My 09 had the problem with the key fob not always locking or unlocking the doors. Wonder if its an issue with the 09's because I haven't had a single issue with my 10.

I am going to take the truck back in and get them to change the wireless reciever or transmitter for the key FOB. That is what they were going to do before they found that software update.

Unhappy Key Fob Problems

One of my key fobs stopped working (no remote start, panic or lock/unlock), except to start the truck after opening it and having the alarm go off (2010 Ram Laredo). I've replaced batteries, bent the contacts up....no go! The other key fob (spare) works fine. Going to the dealership next week (I've been through 5 CS reps and 2 dealerships now) to get it replaced. Truly, I've had a LOT of problems with this truck for such a new vehicle. Will keep you posted. Also, I'm having problems with the navigator screen not changing to night in the automatic mode. I will have that looked at, too. Any thoughts?

OP: Have you tried changing the battery in your fob? One of the fobs I have must have had a bad battery, as after changing for a fresh CR2032 battery, the range is tremendous. I can remote start the truck from over 150 yards away.

I had the same problem with the remote. My dealer replaced it with a new one, reprogramed it and everything works perfect again.

It is not the fob. There is an issue with trucks computer. Getting a new fob my work for awhile but it will come back. I have the intermittent problems as well as many others. Do a search on this forum. You will see.

The next time your fob isn't working, try hitting the lock/unlock button from the door(door must be open already) and that won't work either. Proof that it is not the fob.
