Default need help- on exhaust were to buy x 2 3/4" pipeing

2010 ram rt i have american racing headers come down to 2 7/8" i want to and and x pipe that will fit this and run the piping out as dull 2 7/8" or at least 2 3/4". i dont want to do 3" its to big for my motor or the power iam putting out. the 6.1 hemi srt in stock form is putting out 425hp and it comes stock with 2 3/4" exhaust piping. i putting out about 450hp with my mods i plan to do the e fan and bottom pully so i should pick up more hp and free up more. so what size exhaust should i run? should i just cut the headers at the y and weld on a 3 1/2" pipe stright out with muffler, orfrom the headers an x pipe that is 2 1/2", 2 3/4" 3" with the like in pipe size going out. on my dyno when my hp hitts 350hp its stright flat. its at its max flow rate. when i compare my motor with same mods with the challanger rt they are putting down 20 30hp more. on there dynos it peaks than drops at max rpm, mine is stone wall flat. so the set up i have with the headers flowing into a y pipe in to a 3" pipe then in to a single inlet 3" muffler and out of the muffler dull
2 1/4" pipes is not flowing enough. i think its the 3" middle section. what has a larger surface area? 3" pipe or 2-2 1/4" pipe. please help!

i think they are cammed differently so its hard to compare apples to apples... dynos will be diffrent because of the heavier wheel setup the truck has and the bigger drive train loss too...

the 2.25 after the muffler is good for tq but goin to a 2.5 may get you more hp..
