I'm confused here. I had the Predator (got a great deal) for my Charger when I had it. Sold it on ebay got basically what I paid for it and used that weeks ago for a 7137. When I looked around for the Predator like a month ago while I was considering the Ram, many sites had it..the U7137...so the 7137 has been around a while....I'm thinking that maybe they added a few more years to that models Database.

As far as the Trinity, it's ridiculously overpriced and not worth the dough....IMO.

The Dodge truck Predator has always been P/N U7137 but they didn't have a code set for the 4.7L until just recently.

You can also get a U9000 and have the U7317 program loaded to it. A lot of dealers do that. The U9000 is a blank tool and they have permissions to upgrade it to whatever stock DS program their customer wants.

I might just buy one of these this week. I need to get a tuner anyway and have been in the market for awhile. This may be my holy grail lol.

I want the trinity but really cant justify the money. Ive been told the tunes/adjust-ability are just second to none....BUT the readout and virtual gauges are just very cheap looking

Anyone have any experience with the trinity units?

I didn't think the GUI on the Trinity was that great. I saw one on a Dodge Magnum a few weekends ago. The logging feature is a lot easier to use and with the right sensor you can get real time air/fuel ratio numbers (which you can't do with the Predator) but all in all, not worth the extra $ IMHO.

That is pretty cool. I haven't heard too many reviews on the Trinity, though, would be interested to see some results with that one.

Dana,

The tunes in the Predator and the Trinity are the same. The difference in the tools is the Trinity has multiple displays for monitoring and logging PIDs while you are running the vehicle.

It's a cool tool for sure but if you are only after a good tool that you can log with and don't need the fancy displays, the Predator will do just fine and it's cheaper to buy.
