Avoiding OD at WOT as well as 2nd prime downshifts will help the life of the tranny.

Gears is a must though esp' with 20" rims wrapped with 35" tires and a 4.7.

Yes , the 4.7 will be working it's ass off to get those big tires going . You will definitely need to gear it lower . Don't forget to stop by the newbie section and introduce yourself .

You are adding a lot of unsprung weight to your vehicle and you are gonna have to beef up the torque some. A numerically higher gear set is gonna make a big difference in getting your truck to move from a dead stop as it is a great torque multiplier.

So do you know what gear ratio you have now?

Did you recalibrate your speedometer after you increased your tire size . If not your odometer reading is inaccurate also .

I just ordered my gears threw airram.com as well they were $224.00 shipped. They should arrive today and I'm getting them installed tomorrow or Wednesday. They really are a must! I hate my truck right now because of how it shifts and the lack of low end power.

you need to remember to buy two sets of gears if you have a 4wd! one for the front diff and one for the rear otherwise in 4wd youll bind up and break something!
