Default Proper time to change plugs?

what would the schedule be for changing your spark plugs? not only that which i could find in the manual,, but what is all of your guys and gals opinion shorter longer,,, how many km's?

I bought ram 3,4ish months ago with 53,000ish, put 14,000 ish km's on it. I drive alot for work and what not,, and it is at 67,000 ish now,, curious of a good tim to change them and from what i read there is 16 plugs??

thanks for any help

if the truck runs stock that is not platnuim or iridtuim would using them be beneficial,,,

I'm not sure of the Km conversion but they need to be changed at the 30,000 mile equivilent. Do NOT use platinum plugs as they have been known to cause the coil packs to overheat and melt. I haven't heard of iridiums causing this as of yet but I'd be safe and stick with copper core plugs. What you read is correct, the Hemi has 16 plugs.

thanks randy,,, wow at least with copper plugs they arent to expensive,,, i just thought the top model motor would take plat or iridium,, my 03 grand am GT Sc/T and escalade, and 02 silverado all called for platnuim then iridium when they came out,, but i will listen to you guys and dodge dont want no issues,, Thanks again

The only thing those plugs do for ya is extend the change intervals . And sometimes thats not a good thing . A straight forward copper core plug will do just fine .

If you don't know what the mileage was when they were changed last, I'd change them now and stick with the mfgr's recommendation.
