I got the 18" installed today along with an Airaide CAI. it does sound great but still is loud. I was planning on getting the 24" and the salesman talked me out of it... now my wife's a little choked as we live on a nice quite cul-de-sac at the top and it roars up there even going slow. we'll see how it goes when it "breaks in" or I get used to it.

You are the first that I have heard to call the 18" loud!
I had the 14" first and it did not satisfy me so I had to get the DODM80

yeah I would not call the 18 loud. It has a great tone while accellerating but after that its literally as stock as quiet.

My 50 series flowmaster on my silverado was a lot more aggressive, but the mufflex 18 sound is much deeper and richer

Actually I guess it isnt too bad.. now that I have driven it a bit doesnt seem that loud.
