Default Tranny Grind

Has anybody noticed that there Transmission will grind into gear if your truck is on a slight incline or if you try to shift to soon without letting the truck run for a minute or so.

I took mine to the dealer because mine will sometimes grind when putting into gear on a slight incline even with the Parking Set. My dealer says they are all like this i sais prove it we took out a 2010 parked it on a incline set the brake and it did the same thing. He even went on to tell me that i should wait for about 2-3 minutes to let the RPM'S drop before putting it into gear even if i have only stopped at the store for a minute or so

Sounds a little weird to me im going to another dealer for a second opinion

I'm not sure what that smell is but I'm thinking it's a bullshit story. What you're hearing may be solenoid noise and not grinding.

Then that has to be one hell of a noisy solenoid because it sounds like a manual transmission trying to go into gear with the clutch not fully pressed in, at times it is so loud even people across the street tend to look over at first they thought it mught be my transfer case not fully disengaging but it checked out fine the shitty part of all of this is it does not do it everytime

I have never heard mine making that sound....the only sound I hear sometimes are the brake pads releasing from the rotors if I take my foot off the brake pedal real slow while it is still in high idle....it will only do this usually one time, then stop....But transmission grind....Nope

Take it back to the dealer or find another dealer to take it to.

I dont know about a grind but I hear a loud "CLUNK" if I am on an incline and I shift into or out of park. Mine doesn't do it all the time either.
