Default 2010 Aftermaket Heated Seats

I need to know if there are air bags built into the 1500 SLT Bighorn Edition, Crew Cab, cloth seats. I got a good deal on the 2010 Ram but I really wanted heated seats. Does anyone know where one could get Leather heated seats from, or installed? With no air bags in the seat, that should be simpler. The dealer said they could have someone install 2 leather heated seats for $2000.

I asked the same question at my dealership when I bought the truck a month ago - I have the cloth, big horn, etc. Heated seats were missing from the package, and they said they could retrofit each of the cloth seats for $400 total. BUT, it was an aftermarket deal, and they would cut a small hole in the lower plastic seat molding for the button. Wouldn't be a clean factory install so I just figured I'd leave it as is rather than hack it.

The harness is there, so I would assume most of that 2k is for the seats themselves (which seams ridiculous) - pretty much bolt in and plug in, right?

I was gonna recommend the Katzkin as well, you can have either the dealership install or a local interior shop, and the shop can install the heaters with a slim botton.

Mopar sells the heated seat elements as an accessory, its about $290. And they also sell Katzkin leather seat covers for $600 for the front seats. So for under a grand you've got both heated and leather seats.

SportcrewMI, Laramie382,

Do you think the heated seat connectors are there in the seat and the control connector is there also? Can one purchase the control switch braket with the new heated switches?

Thanks very much for the info and for geting my hopes up.

Default Heated Seats

SportcrewMI,

Can you tell me if these kits are listed on the internet or do you have to see the dealer?

Thanks

HKS

Anything is possible. But i doubt it

I would love to have a Sport with cloth heated seats. I dont know why Dodge stopped offering this option.

Probably. There are plenty of dealers who have web stores and sell mopar parts there. *might* even be a lower price too
