Default SEATS, not staying locked in place

i can not get my seats to stop folding forward, when i got them the seat rails had rusted to the point the seat would not slide and the seat would not stop folding forward.

i took off the seats, oiled and greased the rails and got that to work perfectly, but i can not figure out how to fix the problem with the seats wanting to fold, i really dont want to kiss my steering wheel every time i hit my brakes.

does anyone know how fix this problem? or do i have to buy all new seats? both seats are doing this.

thanks,
Lucas

That doesn't sound like a fun problem. I would suggest replacing the seats, but I don't know anything about the innards of the seats.

I agree, that is not a problem you want to have, but hang in there man, I'm not sure if you would have to replace the whole seat or the mechanism. Someone should be along soon who has an idea.

there should be a locking mechanism that you release to fold them forward when you want to. it sounds like it's not engaging fully.
