Default Resonators/Headers

Hey guys, I had the 14" magnaflow welded in on my 2010 Ram.

1. Can I bolt on headers, and then fit them to the stock exhaust set up with the 14" magnaflow, or would I have to do all new exhaust?

2. Is it a good idea to remove the resonators, or will the headers give me what I'm looking for? I want it louder and more aggressive sounding.

You may need to have a exhaust shop tie it in for ya . I would keep the resonators on . You may experience the drone if you remove them . If you want to take them off purchase a Diablosport Predator and turn the MDS off . You shouldn't get the drone then .

I would imagine so, but like Tom said, the drone may be annoying. However, the DiabloSport Predator would be a good investment to cut down the drone

okay, I have the Diablosport predator coming as well, does the truck sound better without resonators and the MDS turned off? Also what is the mpg difference if I shut off the mds?

from what i have heard and/or read some people have actully gotten a few more mpg with a exhaust CAI and programmer set up with the hemi,, some not. I have noticed even on the pedal i have been getting the same or better km's per tank then usual and trust me i have been on the pedal with the new mods I have done. though i have no prgrammer yet so mds still works when i am on highway,,, i use tow/haul to stop MDS from engaging when on normal streets

In my opinion it sounds WAY better without resonators, they baffle all the sound and quiets the exhaust quite a bit,,, but it is personal choice on sound,,, dpeends on each individuals likes and situation,,, hope i was helpful.

I put the jet hot ceramic coated headers on mine with a true dual no resonators and I am running a dual 40 series setup now but I just order flowmaster series 10 single chamber mufflers should be much more aggressive and louder. But when I got the exhaust done I did need to retune the engine I used the diablo sport tuner set up for 91 octane a huge power difference.
