Default 04 drivers side low beam trouble

Hi everyone...Newbie here. I started having a flicker in my drivers side low beam headlight on the gravel road (vibration is key). I changed bulbs...regular not HID...no luck. Soon after I lost it all together. I had good voltage at the socket so then the mouth breathing started. I loosened the Front Control Module from the PCM (Fuse Box) and discovered I could make the lamp go on and off. I cleaned the contacts on the FCM and so far so good. Has anyone seen this before? Am I in line for a new FCM soon? Thanks for any input.

I've not seen any contact problems from the FCM but I've seen a truckload of FCM failures.
