Default Best cat back system?

Whats the best cat back system for the 5.9? I want something that's loud and gives good performance. I've been looking at some, but they just seem exspensive, would it just be worth it to take it to the exhaust shop and get one made?

That's what I did with my '99 and my '07. Went to the exhaust shop, replaced the single in / single out stock muffler (huge can by the way) with a single in / dual out Magnaflow muffler and had the tailpipes bent right at the shop.

Cost for my '07 was right at $400 for the muffler, pipes, install and tips.

One thing I am going to do is get a better flowing Y-Pipe to finish it off. I was looking at the stock one and it's flattened and crimped, not flowing very well.

So thats probaly the best route to take? Because a dual magnaflow system was around 760 and flowmaster was around 550, which is stupid. I was thinking what you did, but with a flowmaster 40 muffler.

I would not run a flowmaster muffler. The magnaflow is a better sound and performing unit in my opinion.

With my 99 I did a magnaflow direct bolt on cat, and a flowmaster super 44 SI/DO with tips and it sounds sick, I wish I had a decent vid of it but I don't. Its got a low deep rumble at idle and when your "old man" driving it, but when you open her up she lets ya know shes coming!!!!

I would suggest going with a Gibson exhaust. They make a great deep sounding exhaust system! I love mine!!
