Default Using a 5.2l ecu on a 5.9l

Hi, I have a 1995 5.9l installation and have had to temporarily resort to using a 5.2l ecm.

are there any differences other than performance between the two?

Thanx

Thats about it . It will work but I'm sure the specs between the two are different . Did you swap out the 5.2 for the 5.9 ?

No, I have installed a 5.9l in a 72 swinger and am using a 1995 ecu because I want OBDC1. I had bought a 95 ecu and was told it was for a 5.9l, as it turns out it was for a 5.2l. I just want to get it running and set up before a buy an ecu for a 5.9l. I am having some issues though. I am not getting voltage to the Inlet air temp sensor and it goes into automatic shut down after a couple of minutes.

Remember the 5.9's are externally balanced . Make sure you have installed the correct torque convertor or you'll have a bit of a vibration .

One more question.

This may sound silly but would it be possible to use an ecu for a standard shift. The transmission I am using is a 518 from a 92 Dakota without a lockup torque converter. The OD is controlled manually.
