I just put on the 18" magnaflow, nothing else changed, i wanted my stock muffler to just hang up in the rafters, the muffler shop tossed it, it only had 700 miles on it
as for the drone, i have only heard it a few times on the highway, its more noticeable on slow speed back country roads, if it gets too annoying i just shift into 5th gear, tow/haul works too.
I always have my radio on & the windows are almost completely closed, just open enough to let out my cigarette smoke

I just went from daul 44's to 18" MagnaFlows. The drone was pretty bad on the highway with the 44's, not too much with the MagnaFlows, but the MagnaFlows's are louder when you get on it.
