Default decissions decissions...

K&N cai, Magnaflow cat back, and BD tuner is what I want but right now can really only afford 2 of the 3 so which 2 are gonna be the most bang for the buck?

Don't get a catback system. Here is what I did.

Went to Partsource, ordered a 14" magnaflow. $135.00
Went to the muffler shop and asked them to weld it in. They added the extra 25 or so inches of pipe on the 2 outlets, as the 14" magnaflow is much smaller than the stock muffler. So now, I basically have a cat back system WELDED in, not bolted. Muffler shop charged me $130.00

Magnaflow catback system up here is about $795.00
My own catback system was $265.00

Eventually I'm going with a magnaflow high flow Catalytic converter, and resonator delete for more sound, and better airflow.

Now, 3rd Gen parts may be cheaper than 4th Gen, but,,,

Based on 4th Gen costs,,,,, Why not get the intake, a tuner, AND an 'exhaust' for about the same $$$$$?

IMHO,,,

Get a Superchips tuner instead of BD, It will do virtually anything the BD will do except mount to your dash. (Do you REALLY need a Driving Coach?????) Save about $100.

Get a muffler welded in instead of the cat back. Save another ~500~.

$600 is $600,,, Is a tailpipe and a dash mount worth $600????

{I apologize if 3rd gen parts are more 'reasonably priced' than the 4th Gen part prices I've referred to above.}

If you are looking to increase performance I would say get a CAI and a tuner. If you want it to sound like it should, get a muffler and tuner.

Either way you slice it you will be getting them all eventually right?

I think the folks here are right...you can go it all for a lot less money.

Weld in a good muffler vs.doing a total catback.

Get an intake.

Do the programmer. May I ask why you are picking the BD?

If you can't do them all, do the intake and exhaust first, then get the programmer. You won't reap the full benefit of the programmer without good air in and good air out.
