Default Ebay cai

Been getting on Ebay a lot lately which is creating a sensation of great discovery and mass confusion to my little peanut brain.

Has anyone bought one of these $80.00 NIB CAI from ebay before? What is the difference between them and the bigger better names out there? What about purchasing one used? I saw an AFE for $100.00. What should I know about the CAI? Does this really do the truck any good, what can be expected from their performance?

I am in need of some mods, exhaust, CAI, brush guard/bull bar. I just feel the urge to add some more again. I doubt I'm the only one that gets this way.

You aren't the only one with the sickness.

I've seen some of those cheap eBay CAI's and I'd be concerned about the filter coming apart and getting sucked into your engine.

AFE makes good stuff. If the used AFE is a complete setup, it's well worth $20 more than the NIB unit.

Have fun with your mods!

If you mean that POS that uses two filters and sits on top of the intake, avoid it at all costs.

I don't know the exact set up, there are some bold claims made on there. Here is what I am talking about

Never mind, cant get the flipping link to work, figures

Any how, its $80.00, but that AFE is what caught my eye.

Couple that with dual exhaust out to the bumper (behind) I should be getting the same mpg as a smart car. Right, Right.....

The difference between the bigger names and the non heard of ones is the quality of the product. They all pretty much will give you similar gains, the bigger names giving you a little more since its better quality. Like Remerson said, if it is the one that sits on top with the two filters over the motor DO NOT GET IT haha. You will be just sucking hot air into the motor which wont make you happy. Definitely go with the AFE thats $20 more, dont cheap out over $20.
