I was going to install a front leveling kit but after reading this thread and others, it doesnt sound worth it. Last weekend a freind of mine was pulling his trailer on the highway, with his 07 ram 2500 4x4 front end level and 33inch tires and after crossing train tracks the death wobble struck, he got control back but a cop saw it happen and after pulling him over had his truck and trailer towed the cop deamed it unsafe to drive, this is not the first time death wobble happened to him and it only happens when hes towing. So far it has cost him alot of money in replacing stearing and suspension parts (he was replacing things wether they needed it or not in a attempt to fix it) but still the death wobble remains. I was told that it only occurs with solid axel front ends, i could be wrong though.
Do or do not, there is no try.

I work for a Dodge dealership, and all the death wobbles are usally due the a weak or worn out steering damper, If you put in a new one it will fix the death wobble and you can have a second one installed to help with this. On the solid front axles.

Hey guys to add to this discussion I'm having issues with my truck and hopefully someone can help. I have a 1988 dodge ram 100 series LA 318 v8. I recently had a leveling kit installed and now when I'm driving and making tight slow turns there is a lot of vibration and a lot of metal vs metal sounds coming from underneath. Any clues? Another thing, my engine mounts were replaced and now my fan scrapes the inside of the cover. Any help will be appreciated. So excited to be In a real forum. Thanks ahead of time.
