Ok, the moment you all have been waiting for....here's our story and we're stickin' to it.

On Friday Adam came over for what we thought would be a 4-6 hour job and it turned into a 2 day job and it isn't completed. Although we didn't document everything, here is some of our events and pics.

Here is his truck before the lowering:

[IMG][/IMG]

After jacking the truck up and removing the tire, we got to work. We tied up the caliper and removed the spindle (Adam just laid around):
[IMG][/IMG]

Removing the spindle is no joke. You best have your tech on speed dial and a mini sledge! Separating the knuckles is not fun after about 20-45 min a piece (Adam and I took turns)! I ended up braking one of Adam's Pickle Forks. We made 2 trips to the auto parts store and one to Home Depot. (Thank you Randy {RamTech} and Mike {Diesel Geek} our Z techs and friends):
[IMG][/IMG]

We got the new springs put in and all was ok. Now we made our way to the driver side. Funny story though. The compression on the old springs was so great that even though Adam had spring compressor brackets on the springs, when they finally let loose on the passanger side, with his head in the wheel well...all pieces popped out and went flying. He screamed like a girl and jumped! (Love ya', Adam!) Now he gets to the driver side front and has a different approach. He uses the handle of the jack to operate the wrench on the bolt holding the spring in place and hides by the front of his truck:
[IMG][/IMG]

All of this on the driver side occurred after I smacked my head on his lug nut bolt and left a nice little egg on my forehead. It took all I had not to cry like a girl. No pic of that! I had school the next day and wearing a helmet on my egg bump was no fun!
He gets the front end done and back together and here's how it sat:
[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]

More to come.............................

Sizing up where to jack this beast up at:
[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]

With lots of wood, we then commence to working. We had a new bracket to install that replaces the old one that holds the u-bolts in place for the leaf springs:
[IMG][/IMG]

We finally got the bracket figured out after having to call Randy. We got to flip the leaf springs and realize that his after market exhaust is in the way. I go for man help and together, Adam and a friend of mine work around the exhaust to get the leaf springs connected on the bottom of the axle. They piece the rear back together and we call it a night.
Time to close up shop at 1:30-1:45 am. His truck is lowered in the front, completely done, but not done enough to drive, and some of the rear work had been started. So you guessed it...I give him my truck for the following day as I had school and he had drill. We weren't going to be able to get back to his Ram until Saturday night.

Last night then came and we worked on the exhaust, putting in new bracketry for the struts and removed the factory bump stops. It still needs it tweaks and tunes but for the most part she is done.

Here is the last of the pics I have:
[IMG][/IMG]

Here is with the front done and not the rear:

Adam putting her back together:

And now, the best I have for completed pic:

I am sure I forgot some steps and pics. I am also sure that Adam will be on here to tell HIS side of the story and share his pics, but this should be enough to keep you all happy. Thanks for the wait!

I have never really been one for slammed trucks, but boy oh boy does his truck change my mind if I ever have a 2wd again! In person is so much better than in these pics. Really nice stance!
