Question Fog Lights

I have a 2008 Ram SLT that did not come with factory fog lights. I got a kit and installed factory lights and the factory switch. Do I have to go to the dealer to enable the fog lights or is there a work around to get the lights enabled?

They should turn on when you flip the switch. If they don't, then I'd say that something is not installed correctly.

According to the factory indtructions that came with the lights I need to connect a STARSCAN tool to reconfigure the front control module to recognizt the fog lamps.

check to make sure that there is a fuse/relay in the proper spot in the fuse box. If all is well there, then follow the directions and have the module reprogrammed.

There is no cavity listed in the owners manual for fog lights. I assume that the lights are already fused elsewhere

You have to get a flash done. I was to bothered to do that so I went and wired in my Fog light kit with Hids to their own wiring system and then wired to their own switch and connected direct to the battery with a relay and fuse. Doesn't does the trucks wiring at all.
