Default Yellow headlights

Does anyone know of a good product (fairly inexpensive) that will remove the yellow haze on the headlights and fog lights on my 2001 Ram 1500. I have thought about just buying a new set. Ideas???

There are several kits on the market . Meguairs has one . I haven't used it yet . There are kits out there where you wet sand the headlights with 1000- 2000 grit wet paper then buff them up . They work well . You can always buy replacement aftermarket assemblys . I think mine were like $95.00 apiece . I kept the originals , so I can work on them .

I got my aftermarket ones for $110 shipped. They look really nice...not big on the way they disperse light, but, I have to play with them as it may be something stupid I did.

But...you can wetsand and buff them and it'll last you awhile, but...it comes back pretty quick.

Meguiars has a kit, as do several other mfgrs. It's basically a plastic polish kit and they work pretty darn good.

One other thing to consider. Halogen bulbs dim and turn slightly yellow as they age. While you have your capsules out, replace the bulbs with a nice set of Sylvania SilverStars or an equivalent.
