Default CB Placement

OK, so evidently, CB is too common to search for. I want to put my CB in my truck, but can't seem to find a good spot for it. It is a smaller body radio (40 channel with squelch, volume, and PA), but it just doesn't look right anywhwere. I was wondering if any of you have put them in your Gen 4 trucks, and if so, how did you mount them.

I have the 60/40 bench in the front, with the step up from basic CD player. We are taking a trip to go hunting in two weeks, and it would be nice to communicate with the other trucks going.

I made a thread a while back with like 7 mounting locations for 3rd gen Rams, but I've only seen like three 4th gen Ram CB mounts. GTyankee has one in his truck. Here's his setup:

And here's one of the custom mounts I've seen:

Here's the only other one I've seen:

I'm a huge fan of the dual antennas. I'd love a setp like this on my next truck:

I definitely plan on running duals. As soon as I figure this out, and I will, I will post some pics. Nothing against any of those mounts, but I don't want it to be the center of attention. Dodge did a great job on the dash, so I would hate to mess it up. Hmmmmm.

Yeah I hear you, it's tough to find the right spot. I might run the dual antennas just for looks for a while

Will your unit accept a full control mic unit? If so, then you can mount the body of the CB under the center console or under a seat with only the hand unit mounted where you can reach it.

I am an amateur radio operator, mounted my main unit under the front seat and it has a full control remote unit that is on the dash. Basically, the front panel removes and is mounted remotely. I do not know if CBs do that. My antenna is mounted at the back of the bed, cabled through a small hole in the drain plug under the seat. The power is rounted thru the large firewall grommet behind the brake pedal. Truck is a center console 2010.

Do you have any pics of your setup? I like the way it sounds

I think I am going to mount it vertically in front of the center console. I will have to build a bracket, but that is no big deal. I do have a question, though. Will a spray in bedliner mess up the ground for the antennas?
