Talking 17" wheels+biggest tire with out lift?

Hey, New here and new into 4x4's. I searched with no certain answer as to what is the biggest tire I can put on my 08 Ram without rubbing? Stock is 265/70/17. Right now I am looking into either Interco Truxus Mt, Kumho Road Venture MT or Dick Cepek FC II. Can I get any suggestions on size?

I'm not sure what you have (year , model etc...) . Go to the top of the page and complete your profile . It will show up whenever you post a question or comment . Don't forget to stop by the newbie section also and introduce yourself also . Thanks . Tom

Definitely you can go to a 285/70RX17 with no rub. Any wider section and you'll probably rub at full steering lock.

Anything taller than a 70 could rub on the trailing edge of the bumper.

Of course, if you lift the truck, you have a lot of options.

Default Tires and Rims

I have a 2000 / 2500 SLT, that appears to have a lift kit from the factory. It has 16 inch rims right now. Want to go to 18 inch rims with Nitto tires. Do I need to increase my rotor size? Or should I keep my stock rims and just get bigger tires.

I have an 05 1500 2wd with 35x12.5r20s..... I have seen another member on here that had a 4x4 with the torsion bars turned to raise the front a few inches and he was clearing 36s... I would say the biggest would be a 35 or a 36.

That would be me, heres the truck with 36s:

Minor fender trimming was required but I can drive around comfortably in tight parking lots etc with no troubles.

A bit of both, I just took a few inches out of the plastic behind the tire and the same in front of the tire.
