Well, if they do find a bad tire or wheel problem, there's a slim to none chance that you will get reimbursed for what you spent but the dealer will warranty the defective part.

75 dollars is ridiculous. I could see if they were custom wheels and a pain in the *** to do but that is high. I work at a automotive shop. We do tires and wheels and more than likely when they mounted up the new wheels they balanced the new ones (maybe not) and let the other ones just rotate to the front because it was warranty work. 1/2 ounce to a full ounce and you will definately notice it, esp. if they have been riding good before hand. Also some other factors on balancing using the machines come into play. I worked for a shop that had the arm that spins with the wheel off balance throwing the tires and wheels off balance till they got it fixed we had a few people come back here and there. good luck.

OK i will let you guys know now i work at a tire shop (Fountain Tire) I had a ram come in with the same problem...harsh shake after a rotate...pulled the wheels off immediately and checked balance and it was way out!! the reason it happens after a rotate is you cannot feel it as much in the rear...in the front you have the steering wheel to give feedback and you ride up front!

The causes can vary...weights slipping on these wheels is uncommon as far as i kno...marks where weights may look like they were are not "glue" the weights get hammered on a clamp around the rim lip...but the marks left are from older weights as road grime and dirt gets trapped under there! when they replace the tires it could have been as simple as someone to lazy to balance them...check for any weights on the wheels...i have also heard of tires physically spinning on the wheel, this will throw a tire way out as the weights that are on stay in the same spot and the tire moves, this is worse then not having any weights on the wheel!

So if re-balancing doesn't solve the problem, blown tire belt or bent wheel would be the next step to look for...being the truck is newer i wouldn't think bent wheels...worn front end parts can also cause a vibration, after a rotation is not likely!

Get them rebalanced ASAP...yes it not cheap to get balancing, my shop charges $15 per wheel for steel wheels, going up from there...but you have to think some of the machines cost up to $10,000 costs need to be covered some how!!

It's possible the last people that attempted to balance them had a machine that needed recalibrating. Regardless, I would ask for a refund since their balance didn't fix it and someone elses did.

Ah ok. That price is too much for a balance, even for 20" wheels.
