Hi kuma, I have look at the "dwgint" sight, it looks like they have some very good products, I think the Dry Wash would also be very handy if one is traveling a lot and away from home for a period time, The Item which interest me most is the engine oil treatment. I have a 2009 ram with a lifetime power-train warranty and Dodge and as you know do not advise using additives. The question is their beneficial clams legitimate and has any one had experience with this or similar products.

Stacy,
I wish I could have been there to guide you. Sorry you had to go through such a learning curve but experiance is the best teacher after all.

There was so many things I should have told you that I just take for granted because I've been doing this for so long. Like when I have bugs plastered on my front, how I jus spray a little product on the spot and then take my fingernail and loosen it up. For tar you can just use a little Goo-Gone or wd-40. For oxidation, I recommend oxygone and for fallout I recommend clay with a really good lubricant. Don't waste your money on one of the Clay-Kits from an auto parts store, go to a autopaint supply or order from Autogeek.
The clay in those kits is not proffensional grade. Unless you are a proffesional, you should never use the coarse, even the medium can get you in trouble.

Remember what I told you about taking your time. Start at the top and work down. Let the product cloud-up before buffing to take advantage of it's ability to remove organic materials. Again I apollogize for not giving you better info.

As for the other question about the Oil additive. Read the label(online), look up the word mollibdum(sic). The PolyGuard-1 is a super lubricant that is suspended in the 8oz of oil. I use it all the time even though I use Amsoil now and I do notice the diff. when I don't use it when I change my oil. The reason Corp's. don't recommend products (additives) is because then they could be liable.

Kuma, like I said it was my fault for not reading again the info on the site! For a while I was very frustrated and ready to call the stuff garbage but after I went back on the website and saw my goofs I am not ready to call it quits!

Second attempt with this product was done today. I must say, I am much happier!! I spent the morning with a can of bug and tar remover going over the lower third of Blue. Don't care to do that again any time soon!! The only things I washed with water was the front end, rocker panels and her rear. Everything else was untouched.

I could tell a difference having a coat of this wash on already. Cleaned up real quick and easy. I just made a day of it because it is so nice outside! The roof hasn't been touched in months. The last time I waxed it was back in June for Gatty and I haven't hand washed it since then either. I sprayed on the wash, waited, came back and wiped it off. Looks like I waxed!! Very impressed!

Overall, I am happy with how she turned out. I am hoping by when winter hits I will have several coats of this on and that will be a great test of how this works. It is like using a quick detailer but I know I can go out any time and wash again without having to drag out the hose, buckets and detail tray.

Glad you are happy with it. The thing is though is, it doesn't build up. It actually removes it's self every time you use it and leaves a new coat of polymer each time. Wait til you see what happens when snow hits it.
I can tell you still have that "wax" mind-set, you will get over that in time though as you use the product more and more. Now that you have used the product twice you shouldn't have to do Blue more than once a month with the product. Just rinse and dry in between with touch-ups as needed. If you feel compelled to use soap, you must reapply the product to the areas you use the soap.

I only used the soap to help get the bug guts off, the rest was elbow grease. I purposely only washed the necessary parts for that purpose and left the rest to see what this product can do. I have posted this on my other boards so I can update them as the "test" progresses.

Washing Blue from here on out will be a breeze!
