Default How about that weak frame?

It's amazing what some people are convinced of with these trucks lol. Quick back story, I used to own a cobalt, belonged to a cobalt forum, used to attend local meets. So when I got my 2010 ram, I decided to post up in the local section about it. Everyone says their congrads, compliment it etc.. THEN, a non local comes in and starts going off that I deffinately chose a weak truck and that the frame is horrible and how the f150 makes my new ram look like a weak poor excuse for a truck etc...

I asked him where he got his info from saying the frame on the new rams were weak. He posts a link to a for video on YouTube LOL. He's been at it with me and the locals for a few days now.

So what's everyone thoughts on our "apparently weak frame" on our new rams?

When I did research a few years back, Dodge was the only manufacturer to use the method of "hydroforming" to form their frames using water pressure as others use heat, that weakens metal. For that reason we have stuck with Dodge. Now other manufacturers have jumped on board. Look at Fury's truck that was hit by a drunk....I think that truck and frame held together well.

Very true ^^^^! Seems to me the only "weakness" in that theory would be the lack of evidence to support it.....

Take that hater down...that's a bunch of BS.

I was under my truck the other day and, while mine's not hydroformed, it's beefy with no unnecessary holes.

That twit on the other forum needs to get his facts straight.

Hmm...Ask that person for their engineering license, thesis, and structural analysis. I remember a person told me a LONG time ago the new Comiskey Park where the Sox play isn't going to last 10 years...Well it's been almost 20.....Opinions are list a$$holes..Everyone has one and you don't want to hear from them.
