Default Low Speed RPM Increase

Quick question for the techs. I have a 2010 1500 Ram 5.7. I notice that at low speeds like 10-20 kms there is a tendency for the truck to increase rpm on its own. This happens of course without any change in throttle pressure. Anybody notice this, or have an idea as to why it happens. Thanks.

Could be down shifting. Just a slight grade at those speeds could cause a gear change.

Yeah - Dodge seems to have engineered a lot of engine braking into this vehicle as well (which I like), but it (frequent downshifting) took me a while to get used to.

it's a combination of eco mode and downshifting. I noticed it very heavily tonight driving the back way to class ( lot of stop signs). Put it in manual mode and it felt the same downshift at low speed.
