Default water coming out of exhaust

Seems I have water coming out of my exhaust (I think) it might be a bit excessive. I only have 50K on my 04.... any suggestions?

If you're not losing it from the cooling system, it's probably just condensation.

Water coming out the tailpipe is a good sign!

Here's why:

Gas (all other fuels too) is a combination of Hydrogen and Carbon (C8 H16 to be exact.).

In a combustion process, gasoline is added to oxygen (O2), a spark ignites the mixture, and BOOM!!!

Complete (ideal) combustion, yeilds two biproducts (the explosive reaction splits the Carbon and Hydrogen and joins them with the Oxygen).

The two biproducts are C O2 (Non-harmful), and H 2O - also known as water!

So see, if you've got water coming out of your tailpipe, it just means that your engine is combusting its fuel very completely, which means your making good power and wasting very little fuel! It's when you don't see water that you have an issue to worry about...

Nope, not overheating. But I had a leak in the aftermarket exhaust pipes (at the weld) and the small puddle has a touch of rust color after sitting on the concrete for a while. But it's mostly clear water.

Thank you for the info!!

It's normal to see some coming out of the exhaust. It's condensation from the exhaust system where the gases have cooled and condensed, then are being expelled.

I've noticed as exhaust systems get older, they have a bit more condensation.
