so i got a problem and i dont know what it is in the morning i go to start the truck and its doesnt want to idle and it pops like popcorn in the throttle body i changed plugs wires cap rotor put injector cleaner in ran good gas i put in a TP sensor and everytime i dont something new i goes away and runs fine it pops and chugs in low RPMs but after about 35-4000 it smooths out when the problem goes away it runs the tits idles and everything great but once i let it sit overnight the problems still there im gonna try a new MAP sensor but if its not that then i dont want to waste my money on it if youve ever had this problem please let me know oh 1 more thing when it has the problem it shoots 2 codes 1 is the MAP sensor hence why i think its the problem and the other is timing chain slipped but when the problem goes away so do the codes please help
First thing I would do is replace the MAP sensor since that is the code that is being popped. If it continues to do so after you change it, the only other possibility it would be would be the IAC. The Idle Air Control Valve basically controls the air mixture when the engine is cold. Does the truck seem to smooth out considerably when the truck warms up? If so, skip the MAP and go straight to the IAC.
